Meet your Mentors!

Allyson Muehlemann, PT, DPT, EdD, NCS, Founder & Mentor

Hi, I’m Ally! I’m one of your mentors here at Next Level Neuro. I’m based out of Rochester, NY, where I currently work inpatient rehab and acute care. I’m especially passionate about working with patients recovering from stroke and spinal cord injury. I also teach as an adjunct at Nazareth University and South College, focusing on neuromanagement and cardiopulmonary courses—two areas I love bringing to life for future PTs. I am so excited to be a part of your neuro journey!

When I’m off the clock, you can usually find me lost in a good book, scoping out new coffee shops, hitting the pickleball courts, or getting some fresh air on a scenic hike.

Hannah Borup, PT, DPT, NCS, Mentor

Hi, I'm Hannah! I live in Rochester, MN. I have nearly 10 years experience working with people with neurologic conditions across the continuum of care, and have loved serving as a neurologic residency mentor and educator at Mayo Clinic. I love the creativity and variety of neuro rehab - as well as the opportunity to forge therapeutic relationships and help folks overcome their toughest challenges!

When not with patients, you can find me soaking up the sun on the lake or enjoying the Minnesota outdoors with my family. I can't wait to help you rock it on your PT journey. Neuro is awesome!

Dr. Lauren Young, PT, DPT, CSRS, NCS, Mentor

Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a board-certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy, as well as a certified stroke recovery specialist. I am also the owner of NeuroElite Physical Therapy, where I provide mobile PT, continuing education, and clinical consulting. I teach in a hybrid DPT program and lead continuing ed courses where I try making neuro approachable, practical, and even - dare I say it - fun.

When I’m not nerding out on neuro, I’m usually hanging with my husband and our dog, catching live music, and soaking up good vibes.
